TENT, CLOCK IN HUD, UFO FIX, ANIMATION FIXES


Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since my last update but I'm really happy with the progress I've made on this one.
Here's a summary:

  • New Inventory Item: A Tent! Replaced the warp wand with a tent. I wanted to experiment with placing a permanent object that you can leave somewhere and come back for it. This also happens to be a tent that you can enter. So, you carry your house in your inventory now. The best part is you can see it's whereabouts by checking your map.
  • Optimized the HUD to only update the numerals, fixing a flicker issue.
  • Coded the time of day into the HUD instead of displaying money value. So now you have a running clock on screen and on the map screen too. I feel this suits the narrative better and prevent you from constantly having to check the time.
  • The UFO's location script was being called twice which had been causing a jitter. I found this and fixed it. UFO runs smooth now.
  • The inventory screen had a flicker/delay in displaying the currently equipped item. Fixed now.
  • I experimented with an axe type weapon but ultimately axed it. The tree I made to practice on is still left over and can be bashed to a stump if you so wish.
  • I worked on the overworld a tiny bit. I know its the biggest thing I need to flesh out next.
  • Some scenes are still a bit broken. I'm working through this it just takes a while.
